Information You Submit
Search Terms
When a name, location, or other search term is entered into a search box powered by a third-party provider, that request is sent to the provider that operates the tool. Bibb County Inmate Population does not keep its own database of those search terms.
Messages
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the submitted name, email address, and message content may be kept long enough to review and reply. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law, court order, or a valid government demand.
Automatic Technical Data
Basic technical data may be collected when a page loads. This helps with security, performance, analytics, and troubleshooting.

- Browser name, version, and language settings.
- Device type, operating system, and screen details.
- Pages viewed and time spent on those pages.

Cookies and similar tools may be used to understand site use, measure traffic, keep features working, and support advertising. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, though some site functions may behave differently after cookies are disabled.
How Data Is Used

- Send search requests to the correct partner service.
- Learn which Bibb County record pages help visitors most.
- Find broken links, errors, and security issues.
- Display advertising that may be based on general interests.
Outside Websites
This site links to sheriff pages, jail information, ADOC resources, Alacourt, VINELink, BOP, ICE, Alabama public-record sources, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the privacy policy and terms of the destination site control. Alabama Code 36-12-40 and 36-12-41 may govern access and copying for certain public writings, but those laws do not control how every linked private service handles user data.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure visits or serve interest-based ads across websites. Those tracking practices happen on the partner systems, not in a Bibb County government record system.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold as a standalone list. It may be handled by the service providers and authorities needed to operate the site or comply with the law.
- Search partners that process search box requests.
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and site use.
- Advertising networks that serve or measure ads.
- Law enforcement, courts, or government agencies when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Security Practices
Reasonable security practices are used to protect information handled through the site. No internet-connected service can be made fully secure, so this notice does not promise that data will be immune from every error, misuse, intrusion, or transmission risk.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal information may request deletion through the contact page.
